FAQ

What is a pip?

This calculator uses a price step of 0.0001 for the listed non-JPY pairs and 0.01 for USDJPY. Multiplying that step by the position’s base-currency units gives its quote-currency value.

Why do JPY pairs have a different pip value?

USDJPY uses a pip size of 0.01. Its pip value is in yen before conversion. A different account currency requires the account-currency units for ONE yen as an input.

How does position size change pip value?

Pip value is proportional to position size. Doubling the lots doubles the base-currency units and the value of each pip, with the same conversion rate.
